Adjust or Repair

This service allows you to increase or reduce the size of your ring, chain bracelet, and necklace or replace the clasp of your earrings without altering the aesthetics or original shape.
All adjustment requests are subject to technical feasibility.

This service includes several steps to maintain the shine of your jewelry:

Diagnosis: Cartier’s jewelers examine your creation to identify all necessary steps.
Re-sizing: We will suggest the most suitable method to adjust the size your creation
shining: This stage requires particular expertise to avoid distorting the design. The expert jewelers follow a series of technical steps to achieve a final result that meets Cartier’s requirements: a “mirror-polished” look.
Cleaning: Select jewelry creations can be immersed in an ultrasonic tank for cleaning.
Rhodium Finishing: On select white gold and platinum creations, a rhodium-finish can be re-applied to enhance its brilliance.
Final Check: To ensure that your creation meets Cartier’s strict quality requirements

Necklace Re-Sizing

Necklace length can be adjusted by increasing or reducing the chain by a maximum of 4 cm on select creations. Please note that this service is unavailable for paved designs.

Chain Bracelet Re-Sizing

The length of your bracelet can be adjusted by increasing or reducing the chain by a maximum of 2 cm. This service is not available for paved creations or bangle-style bracelets.

Ring Re-Sizing

Ring size can be adjusted by increasing or reducing the total circumference on select creations. Please note that this service is unavailable for paved designs.

Earring Clasp Adjustment

The model and the size of the earring clasp can be adapted to ensure maximum comfort.
